Oil on canvas, horse and dogs running. Signed lower right. T - Lot 55
Oil on canvas, horse and dogs running. Signed lower right. The work had been linked to Alfred de Dreux (1810-1860) in 1979. We do not share this analysis although it is clearly listed as such in the descriptive and estimated inventory for insurance drawn up in 1979 by the auctioneers Chapelle-Perrin-Fromantin taking over the property from Madame de Breteuil at 16 rue Singer in Paris. A copy of the lot page and the official inventory cover will be given to the buyer. (But in no case the complete file out of respect for privacy). This painting decorated various interiors of the Comtesse de Breteuil. We add an old photo probably taken in the Deauville property. Provenance: Countess Hélène de Breteuil. Jacques Peltzer family collection. It had been restored within Jacques Peltzer's family on the Breteuil side. Size: 73 x 59cm.
