Musical cigarette box and automaton by Maison Breguet. Gilde - Lot 104
Musical cigarette box and automaton by Maison Breguet. Gilded bronze with marquetry-style chased cubes with matte and gloss effects. When the box is opened, a small oval medallion opens to reveal an articulated singing bird. Marked BREGUET 4777. Dimensions: 13.5 x 10 x 4 cm. Overhaul to be expected. The mechanics of the bird and the song work, but it quickly stops. The large lid can jam when closed. Minor repairs required. Video on QR code.
