Saint Eloi. Sculpture in carved wood, second half of the 15t - Lot 61
Saint Eloi. Sculpture in carved wood, second half of the 15th century. On the right side we can see the symbol of the blacksmiths. He is sitting in majesty with his right hand, the middle and index fingers pointing upwards. The folds at the bottom of the robe are characteristic of the Gothic period, over which he wears a chasuble and we will emphasize the meticulous carving that symbolizes the cross embroidery. The sculptor has covered the mitre with the same work, which enriches the whole. The crosier is later. Height : 83 cm.
Sint Eloi. Sculptuur in houtsnijwerk, tweede helft 15e eeuw. On the front we see the symbol of the hoefsmeden. The fieldwork is a work of art, which is what makes the world go round. The ball is purchased. Height: 83cm.
