Charles CATTEAU (1880-1966). A rare prototype vase in Boch K - Lot 327
Charles CATTEAU (1880-1966). A rare prototype vase in Boch Keramis stoneware in the 1168 shape, which is not very common and on which the octopus motif is usually found. A blend of plant and animal, the motif created here is reminiscent of an underwater atmosphere, a strange compromise between seaweed and squid. This vase bears the test number E.2460 and the handwritten signature of Charles Catteau. This model is not illustrated in Marc Pairon's book, but the decor number is mentioned in the decor inventory section on page 713. A unique and extremely rare piece on the market. Perfect workmanship. Height: 24 cm. Resale rights applicable.
