Important Louis XVI period clock in gilt bronze and red griotte marble. "Dial signed Thuillier in Paris (slight chip to a hole) and very slight chips on the rim. One notices above the lack of a second bird: a leg remains frozen in the decoration: see detail picture. THUILLIER Pierre-Nicolas (b. Paris 7 October 1744), watchmaker, married in Paris 21 on March 1776 to Marguerite Gomet, son of Pierre master watchmaker and Marie-Anne Margalet.
