Exceptional Louis XV period lantern clock with quarters and carillon, mechanism composed of 11 bells and 17 hammers. Cast brass dial with the effigy of the Dauphin. Double row of enamel cartouches. This museum piece is referenced and illustrated in René Schoppig's book, "L'horloge française à poids. Its handcrafted period from the 16th century to the beginning of the 19th century. 1st part. Tardy". Eleven pages are devoted to it. It also appears on the poster of a retrospective at the Crozatier Museum in Le Puy-En-Velay in 1985. Functional mechanism, to be revised. No weight or chains. Total height: 55 cm.
